History of our Oil Age

You could argue that the history of the oil industry began thousands of years ago in the Middle East where people would take oil from surface pools and ground seeps to use as lighting and later cooking. The Chinese were also early users of oil.

As well as cooking and heating, in time people discovered oil had many other uses like waterproofing their boats. We have never stopped finding more and more things to do with oil.
